Crappie bite was on at the chick today. Both David and I had a limit (30) by lunch. Fish were shallow (2-4&#39
relating to wood around rocks/bluff. Jig under a float working the best with an occasional on a 2&quot; grub. All were very nice slabs and we probably could have culled the few that were just above the 10&quot; mark but we decided to scout out the sauger. Current was still too strong around the bluff for the sauger, although we did ease up to the dam and heard a few positive reports inside the holding area of the lock. Still slow though until the flow slows down a bunch emoPlease. White bass are moving up as well. We caught a few nice ones in some of the slack. David also had a couple of nice spots bend the pole on his ultra lite slab snagger! Anyway, double the enjoyment of yesterday, minus the north wind.
