I was wondering if I could pick some of your guys brain for some tips for perch, bluegill, and crappie thru the ice? Also what are some good lures, jigs, bait for them?
Thanks in advance

Anything small tipped with a meal/wax worm or piece of perch meat. the bite is usually very very light, so a spring bobber would be a good idea too.

I [#326aaf][/#326aaf]don't know much but here is what I can help with.
Bait keep it small , ice flies, jigs, sometimes just a bare hook and [#ee3030][/#ee3030]waxie
Suspension, [#ee3030][/#ee3030]Bulegill and perch more often than not will sit on bottom and if they do rise most of the time it [#ee3030][/#ee3030]isnt but 3-5 feet off. But always make sure you playing the depth game if you [#ee3030][/#ee3030]aint getting bites. Half a real can make a world of [#326aaf][/#326aaf]difference. Crappie on the other hand seam to like the middle of the [#326aaf][/#326aaf]column and up to just under 3 feet under the ice. If you happen to catch a [#ee3030][/#ee3030]crappie on the bottom drop your bait SLOW next time down. [#ee3030][/#ee3030]Pearch and bluegill [#ee3030][/#ee3030]dont always a school with them but it seems if you find one [#ee3030][/#ee3030]crappie you found the mini tribe, but sometimes you might get one follow your [#326aaf][/#326aaf]tastie temptation all the way to the bottom before he decides he wants to eat it.
No these are a [#ee3030][/#ee3030]genrally speaking teams each lake may be a bit [#ee3030][/#ee3030]different but these are good tips to start to pin point.
Good luck and hope this helps.

I am a big fan of the rat finkee. For panfish I use a size 12. Usually in glow or green and glow. Waxworms.

Go to Sportsman's and pick up some 32nd oz. jig heads and small chartreuse tubes. They work great for all three species. Fish near the bottom for perch and look for crappie and gills to suspend shallow. Crappie take jigs on the fall or sitting stationary so keep your line tight and use a sensitive rod.
