Do you have to have a two pole permit to fish with more then one pole when ice fishing in utah? I know in wyoming and idaho u can have five or six poles without a permit on most reservoirs

Also remember the 2 pole permit is only for 2 poles. I have been told you can fish with up to 5 at the gorge though so ppl can use tip ups, but I am not for sure on that.

I have heard that when fishing at the Gorge for Burbot that one person can use 1 rod or 2 with a 2 pole license and up to 5 tip ups. Someone can correct me if I am wrong!

No limit for burbot. Anglers must not release any burbot they catch. All burbot must be immediately killed.
No line may have more than 3 baited hooks or artificial flies in series or more than 3 lures.

A person may use up to six lines without a second-pole permit when fishing at Flaming Gorge Reservoir through the ice. When using more than two lines at Flaming Gorge Reservoir, the angler’s name shall be attached to each line, pole or tip-up, and the angler shall check only their lines.
