I have looked all over Salt Lake and Utah Counties and can't seem to find replacement blades for my 8 in. Eskimo hand auger. Does anyone know where they have them in stock would like to go tomorrow morning but the blades I have are completely shot. If I can't find them today I'll just order them online. But sure would be nice to find a set for tomorrow.

Sportmans on Riverdale had some last weekend. I am not sure now.

It seems like Sportsmans has exhausted their supply. Been to the provo store and the midvale store and they dont have any eskimo replacement baldes. I call up to riverdale maybe they might have them. Does anyone know if the strikemaster blades will work?

You may want to to try Anglers Den here in Roy. Also I was on Ebay looking last night and they have alot on there listed for half the price

I bought a set for my auger last year at Cal-Ranch. They work fine. Plus they are cheaper than Sportsmans. Cant remember what I paid for them though.

I saw these blades at Sportmans in Midvale the other day. But before I had found them I bought some reconditioned blades from Fish Tech. Have not put them on yet still just have them as a spare set, but they told me they would fit.
The reconditioned blades were like $15 and the new set at sportmans were $17.

Well when I called the store in Riverton I believe it was. The guy said he talked to Eskimo and they were out of stock. Guess I'm buying two next time I see them. But untill then I am going to try out the Strikemaster blades on my eskimo and see if they work. I almost want to go buy a new strikemaster auger just so I am able to get blades for them.

[#000000]I sent an email up to eskimo about their replacement blades and ask them if I ordered from there site if they would have them in stock. I did all this after talking to a Sportsmans Warehouse rep. who said he talked to Eskimo and they said they were all out of replacement blades. Here is the response:[/#000000]

[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Yes, we have them in stock-it would be very rare that we wouldn't have them. It would take about 4-5 days shipping time from us to you and about 24 -- 48 hrs processing time. Let me know if you have any other questions.[/#0000ff]

I found a blade sharpener on Amazon for seven bucks. It should be here tomorrow I'll let ya know how well it works. The same one was gonna be seventeen on the sporting goods sites.

What kind is it? I had one of those hand sharpeners you could take with you but I lost it. It seemed like you had to sharpen it after every hole. worked but took a lot of work to use it. But let me know if it does work well I will be interested in it.

Sounds like Sportsmans hasn't changed much.[mad]

I have had the same problem on a gas auger I just bought on KSL. I couldnt find blades anywhere and the strikemaster ones wouldnt work. So after calling around 6 differnt places I gave up. I decided to call the place that sharpens my lawn mower blades. I found out they have a machine designed to sharpen auger blades. $7.50 a blade. They are located in Roy City- Day Power Equipment.

Thats good to know I think I might make have to start calling around the Provo area and find the same thing. I am just tired of trying to find blades. They are too expensive anyway so getting a deal like 7.50 is well worth it!
