Just thought we could get some posts about what lake we have fished, how thick the ice is, whats bitting and where not to go!! I have fished many many lakes this year already and have had alot of success!! Fished mirror lake today the ice must have been 12 1/2 inches and 3 different groups out there, caught one blue back and 2 rainbows in the 13" range. Fished cocolalla many many times this year, ice is about 10 inches and to many perch to count averaging about 6-9". Caught two big Perch on Gamlin (Gamble) but was there way to long to just catch those. Think I am going to try spirit lake tomorrow!!

Round lake has 14" of good ice and has been good for 13 - 14" trout, but seems to be slowing up a little. Upper Twin has 14" of good ice. I have fished it twice and caught a lot of small perch and a few crappie. I see some guys are pike fishing way across the lake, but don't know how they did. I fished at the condos by the long bridge and only got a few small perch.

Which one of the chain lakes? Sure is good to see some people from N. ID on here. Hoping to make it up there around the last of April first of May for a little pike fishing. Maybe we can hook up and wet a line [fishon]

Cave Lake, But the ice is very sketchy, many big holes in the water from springs underneath feeding up and the ice in general was not formed solid it looks like it got windy and chunks of ice broke off colliding with others to form whats there now which is all white ice and 6 inches deep, very wavy uneven ice

Sounds like fun. If I remember right Cave Lake is where the whole Pike thing started many years ago. Hows the ice on Thompson and Anderson? You guys ever go south and hit Round Lake or Chatcolet? Or my favorite place - the train trestle at Benewah? Sure wish I still lived up there! Tight lines [fishin]
