Just walked in the door from the pumphouse. Got there at about 9:45 this morning and left just before 2pm. Not a whole lot going on. I drilled three wholes at different spots down the channel and caught one fish per hole. First hole was out near the opening into the lake, caught a small perch on the first drop. Nothing for an hour. Drilled the second hole about half way between there and the gates, whitie on the first drop and nothing for an hour. Drilled the third hole up by the gates, crappie on the first drop and then nothing. I went through my whole arsenal and just could not get a consistent bite today. Everything I caught was on a small dark green jig tipped with a wax worm.

thats odd, did you fish in the middle of the channel or the sides by the reeds. just curious

My first hole was smack dab in the middle and the other two were closer to the west edge. I was hoping to go out with someone who's been out there and knows the ropes but it didn't pan out this time. I'm out of town tonight and tomorrow and nobody could come in the AM today. I think I might try to head up there Saturday morning. I'm sure there'll be someone up there then who's willing to shed some light on the situation for me.

try ratfinkys with wax worm and try up past the gates i fished right by the pump house wall two or three feet of the bottom for blue gills

I stopped at the No Trespassing signs. I didn't know you could get up by the wall. I'll have to give that a try next time. Thanks for the tip!
