Fished Starvation with Todd (Wet1) and Jordan (Finedesign) on Saturday. Began the day on the lake before sunrise and got into a decent bite early in the monring and then it was hit or miss the rest of the day. Because I am still learning to ice fish the lake, we covered a lot of ice and I would guess we walked close to 10 miles total.....I learned a lot about the structure of the lake.
Anyway, here is my catch...all in all a great day on the ice with two great fisherman!

Man a couple of those perch look kingsized! Ten miles is a pretty good exercise on the ice man that's impressive! Great report.

I was waiting for those pics.... That one perch is a frikin HOG!!.. Nice job on the 'eye and other perch too. That lake is a gamble on the ice. Its fun to get lucky...... Its even more fun to play your odds right and win.[
] Thanks for the report, hope to hit it at least a couple more times this year. [fishon]

Some chunky Perch. What side was the best ?

Nice job Chad!!! It was great getting out with you again. While I didn't do nearly as well as you did, I too learned allot. Mostly about where not to go, but that is important as well. The dog sled team is finally starting to work out pretty well so I'm ready to hit it again...

I was certainly impressed with the dog team Todd! I can't wait for your wife to turn some of these perch into her famous perch sushi. My wife asks me at least twice a week when we are getting together again!

Not really sure I would say any "side" was the best....found a few fish here and there. I think the key was finding weeds in 30 to 40 feet of water. Bleeder chain jigging spoon tipped with meat.

That's about 1 fish per mile, alot of work but a fine looking catch! How big is the Granddaddy perch?

The largest perch was 13"....and yes...it was a lot of walking but I wanted to really learn a few different spots so it was well worth it. Ice fishing can be a great way to understand the "spots on the spot" in prepartaion for soft water season.

Sorry about my pup pissing on your sled. I think I got it all washed off...

sunday it was slow as well. bite turned on around 4.30 till dark. my freinds told me 2 full sized trucks were driving all over the lake flipping donuts. they drove on at the camperworld boat ramp. 20 plus inches of ice.

Nice Perch Chad. Bob's been practicen on the perch at at Rifle Gap and took second in the torney last weekend. Hop;e he can catch a walleye this spring at the tourney at Stavation. I'm still goose and pheasant hunting till the end of the month, work on the house for a couple weeks than off to Powell. You need to hit Powell for your spring fishing fix. Let me know if you want to go!

Thanks Rick....and if you have room in your boat, i'm very interested! I plan to bring mine back for about a month before tournament season begins back in the midwest. I hate pulling that thing all over the country.

hey Chad it looks like you guys had a blast and got a good work out allong the way. Gotta love that lake Jumbo perch and eyes. Crazy Rick has jumbos in his backyard and he goes goose hunting instead [pirate][pirate] I go lucky and got a 14 1/8" Saturday in the Tourney for 2nd place, a couple of friends stayed late after the tourney was over and nailed a 15 and 16" perch those are "magnums". Looking foward to Statvation in the spring, found a table full of Smileys blades at closeout price at Gander Mt......I'm ready!!

As you know Bob....those
y blades are fantastic on Starvation! Congrats on the tournament....I think I could use a good guide to catch a few 14 and 15 inch perch! If you ever need company, you know where to find me!
