My buddy got bait and I made our first trip to Daniels on Saturday. We could not have picked a worse day weather wise. We started off getting stuck in the parking lot for about an hour. The wind was blowing hard and it snowed all day long. There was a foot or two of snow and slush on the ice. We didn't go to our usual spot which requires quite a hike. We fished right by the boat ramp in 18 feet of water. We managed 8 fish all day. The fish we did catch were beatiful as usual out of Daniels. None over 20 but some 18-19 inchers. Still a good time even know the weather sucked.

I didn't bring a camera on this trip.

Glad to see some one else was out fishing in the blizzard. I was on Alexander all day Saturday in similar conditions. It was worth it in the end tho.

Your buddy needs to change his handle for Daniels......NO BAIT....LOL
You could have taken a picture of a white sheet and freaked us all out.
Sounds like you did okay though!

Ya i guess it sounded a bit misleading. Reading back over my post it sounds like I grabbed a dozen nightcrawlers and headed to Daniels![blush] I'll let him know that his name needs changed. He did try out one of your flies but did not have any success, they sure were some cool looking flies though.

Thank you...they do work on soft water!

I am sure they work thru the ice as well. He had the unlucky ice fishing hole that day!
