Went to the berry today. We were planning on doing some walking. Headed west of the marinia, snow was about 8" with slush underneath. Didn't walk to far (200yds.), my old body rebelled. We set up in 35' of water. Arrived at 7:30 left at 1:00. It was kinda slow ,but better than I was expecting. I got four fish, one 21" the others cookie cutter. One friend got another four and the other friend could not keep a bite on. The bite was often enough to keep us interested untill we left.

Planning a trip up there this Saterday, and heard on the new they had 36" of snow? Eight inches I can handle but 36 [:/] don't think so. Planning on taking snow mobile as I understand the ice is 8 to 10" . Thanks for your report, (really hoping they ain't got the reported 36" s ugh!!!!)

There's not 36" of snow on the ice. Maybe a foot with 3-4 inches of slush underneath. Snowmoblies were going across the lake. But I would be care about getting bogged down. ATV?, I wouldn't try it !
