I got to Rire at about 8:00 and headed to the line. I got about 3/4 the way there and started fishing. Drilled about 8 holes and started fishing. Saw one fish on the vex reeled up and caught a perch. nothing for the next hour or so it was time to move. I started walking back towards the ramp .

Drilled 8 more holes and started to fish nothing for about 30 min. Then the kokanee came in just under the ice and I had 6 on the ice in about 20 min. The school stayed around for about 45 min to a hour. I could see them just under the ice and watched them push the jig around with there nose. I had a little lunch and caught 2 more and put them back. Time to move and look for some perch.

Moved closer to the ramp drilled 3 holes and started to fish. I was now in 14' of water. Started to get a few perch and caught 2 more kokanee that I also put back. I got 9 perch out of one hole and it was now 4:00 and time to go.I ended up with 10 perch 8" to 9" and 10 kokanee about 12" .I also lost several perch and kokanee and one trout through out the day.

I also have been playing with my new vex and all I can say is WOW. Don't seem fair for the fish.
