It may sound hard to believe but me and CCSM did not have one other boat, jet skier, Skier, tuber, ski boat, fisherman or even one of those big boats/cruiser go by us today. For that matter we never saw another boat on the lake all afternoon. emoAngel We had it all to ourselves in the ice, sleet, snow and rain.

Got there around elevenish and launched. James got there a little later. We were after a mess of crappie to fry up and decided to go up the wolf to start with. We hit several places with no luck but finally found a few on a bluff bank in the wolf. Out of the first six I had on I broke one off, lost four others and only boated one. emoBang We did manage to boat three other nice slabs in there and decided to head for the lake. In the wolf the water was 39 to 42 degrees depending on where you were. The depths we fished were from 8 to 20 feet. They were on about an eight count.

Got out to the lake and hit four places. Caught crappie on two of them. Depth was 15 to 16 feet with a 12 count and 42 degrees. We left at four with the snow starting back up. We caught about 25 crappie today and I came home with some really nice ones for a couple fish fries. emoHungry Jmax

CCSM will post a couple crappie pictures. emoBig
