How is the fishing there at Goose Creek? What is in it and would it be worth camping there 3 days in July for a family get-together? Any advice would well be appreciated.

A lot of people camp at the boat ramp on the reservoir, But no shade. Most go on up trapper creek and camp along the creek. there are some small cutthroats in the creeks and rainbows. the reservoir holds some decent trout small perch and walleye. if you camp up either creek bring lots of skeeter spray they can be kinda vicious. there isn't a lot of access on the goose creek side.

Goose creek is very inhospitable in late summer. Incredably hot and no shade but good fishing. One of our favorite things to do is go up friday after work throw the tent in the boat ,fish late into the night and early morning .Then be out of there by noon when it hits 100deg.
