I am not going to go on saturday But I went today. The fishing was kind of slow for sportsmans. I finally talked my buddy to get off his butt and go we caught 32 perch between 4" - 11". 1- 6" chub and a 16" rainbow. We missed a ton of bites and there were fish on the vex all day but we had a hard time getting them to bite. We fished in 30' of water about 6" off the bottom. I hope you cam make it up there it should be a good time good luck and let us know how you do.

I know it has been discussed but since will be my first time, where should I go from the camp ground?
I really want to focus on the perch. I usually fish with a tube jig or a 1/32 jig tipped with some type of worm.
If anyone is going to be there it would be great to meet you.

Go strait out from the boat dock to the far side toward the large trees. This is were I have been going. Stay about 150- 200 yards out from the bank in 30' of water. I have been using a very small jig (mud bug ) green in color tipped with a wax worm I hope this helps .

Thanks Jim, made it over there today with my friend Bill and we met stretch23 and had a good day visiting and trying to land as many perch as we could but we only found the 6"ers and they bit lite. Landed maybe 12 (I keep some, sorry I just needed to taste perch again). We weren't right out in front of the trees if thats where the big ones hang out, but we did seem to have more bites than the others around us. I will need to go back but it's 110 miles from home to there.
Wonder how it is in the spring and summer there?
Bill got his camera out and was thrilled to see some fish at 30'. We need to figure out a big sun shield for it.
Again sorry no pics but had a great day.[fishin]

Thats a long drive for a few perch. To bad you did not get into them like everyone talks about. But I am glad you finally got to go up there. I hope you had a good time. Maybe someday we will get to fish togather. Sorry I forgot to tell you that they are lite biters. As far as fishing in the spring and summer i have know idea this winter is the first time I have fished there.
