I need some ideas from all you pontoon fishermen or gals. I have a "standard" 8 foot pontoon boat, and I want to be able to roll it down the road a bit. Anyone use a front wheel and fork from a bike? Or maybe come up with a light weight cart. What works best??[Wink]
I am sure this will be moved to the Float tube forum, but I wanted this post to get to as many of ya as possible.

Not too long ago TubeDude posted some pics of his "ride". He likes the PVC, and It looked pretty good. You may want to hit him up for pics and Ideas. A toon is almost the same thing, just bigger.

Tubedude is using a golf hand cart. A real good idea. I have an extra cart at home to ,the problem is the length an weight of the toon may be to much for it. I was looking for more ideas. I may have to go with the bike tire idea. still working out the mounting method though.

My 'toon actually has a wheel built into the frame that you can either tuck up under the seat or remove completely when you're in the water. It's a colorado accessories trout unlimited XT. I got it from cabela's, here's the link if you want to check it out.

Bicycle tire is a good choice. I can get a wheel for mine and it has the mount. I might do that this year, but my accessory is a little pricy.
I have the North Fork Outlaw and he has the small bicycle wheel for it. I have seen it in action and pretty nice.
The wheel would work on any frame, you just need to bolt a pipe to the frame some how.
