I am considering the purchase of a Tracker Targa V-18 Combo......does anyone have any experience with this boat? I would welcome an comments...thanks.

Stay away from Tracker! Im not saying its a bad boat but when something does go wrong with it, thats when you will have the problems. They are very cheap when it comes to warranty. My friend had a Tracker dealership and he got rid of it because he was loosing loyal customers due to the horrible tracker customer service. He now deals with G3 boats, which for the money are a way better looking boat, and they use better quality components. to make a long story short if something breaks tracker tells the dealer to try and fix it with what they have. G3 on the other hand sends a brand new part the 1st time and you get your boat back out on the water sooner. I am speaking from experience and i am now a proud new owner of a G3 boat. Don't know if there is a G3 dealer near you but if there is go check out their deep-V's, they are freakin sweet!

wow.... im on the other side of this argument already. i have a V 16 and am buying the Targa V18 from my dad.... never had a single problem with oine of these boats. if something odd did occur we took it to the dealer ship and i was usually back on the water tyhe next day. sounds like someone pissed in your buddys corn flakes, im sorry to hear that.

if you are turned off that bad about tracker, might also want to look at Lund and Smoker Craft.

Im not saying that tracker makes a bad boat at all, im just saying that Tracker gives you the run around when something breaks on their boats. Maybe it was just the silly people we were dealing with i dunno? but they were not representing their company very well. I was really close to buying a lund predator last spring but the more i thought about it i was leaning more towards a bass boat instead of a Deep-V. Thats why i went with the G3 Eagle 165. Really nice boat and i simply could not beat the deal i got on it. however once i get his boat paid off i plan on buying a lund or a G3 deep-v, and keeping it up at lake erie. that wont be for a while though, so i will keep on dreaming lol.

really sounds like the dealership... the tracker dealership i deal with has gone above and beyond, and WAY out of their way to help me, and im a state away from them.

Def not the dealership, Like i said before my friend owens the dealership. Ever since he ditched tracker and picked up G3 its been smooth sailing. G3 goes above and beyond what they need to do to keep their customers happy. Like i said before im not bashing tracker boats, im bashing the customer service. I called them myself and got the same BS runaround my buddy that owns the dealership got from them.
