Thanks for the warm introduction! Today was my first day on here, and it definetly won't be my last! Just returned from the Jordan River, where I was trying to get a carp for cat fishing this weekend. While I was fishing for them, I caught my first 2 Walleye, both of them about 10 inches. They both bit on worms. I finally got my carp, too. He was huge! It was about 20 Pounds, and took my half an hour to get him in. What a fish! He will definetly catch me a few channels.

Welcome to the board TheJensenKid15 read your other post now this one. Nice job, where on the jordan was it? over by 3300 South? I used to live right there when I was growing up and never fished there because of that park that is there. If this is the same spot your talking about. If i can go down there and catch a walleye I better go do it because i've been trying for them for 5 years, just like the muskies and never caught one. And that is one tasty fish. But are they still ok to eat out of the jordan river?

GOOD FISHIN TO YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was down by the Chesterfeild Trailhead area, on the north side fo the canal on the Jordan. It is usually good down there, but those Walleye were a real suprise, especially since I was just fishing for carp! As for the fish, I eat them sometimes, and I feel ok still. I've only eaten Channel cats and white bass, but them Walleye sure do look good to me!
