Your more than welcome to come to scofield in the morning and catch some with me. It might be a chub but you can at least say you caught a fish. Hoping to connect with another tiger tomorrow.

I can vouch for Hyrum and Mantua. First, Hyrum. It has slowed down, but I still have caught fish everytime I have gone there. Won't make it this weekend, but have made it every weekend over the last almost two months. I usually fish around 8-10 feet deep with a pearl bodied jig with a pink head tipped with half a meal worm. I also have had great luck with Berkley Gulp minnows, 2.5 inches, watermelon pearl. The trout love them.

I just got back from Mantua tonight. Caught a bunch of trout on the same pink-headed, pearl-bodied jig, as well as the Gulp minnow. Again, we fished anywhere from 5-10 feet deep in about 18 feet of water. We tried to find some bluegill and perch, but ran out of light. The little ones with us were ready to go home too. And I have never fished with a fish finder and have always had pretty good success. I would love one to help me find more fish, but just don't have the money.

I was up on Echo with a buddy yesterday and we only managed 2 fish in about 4 or 5 hours. They were both rainbows and they were both caught about 5 feet under the ice. We put in on the side of the reservoir where the sun shines most of the day and the edges were really soft. My buddy broke through the edges on purpose (he was in waders) and I jumped very lightly to get over the softest area. Overall a slow day of fishing.
