i keep hearing rumors of the perch makeing a come back in Gunnison res.. and yuba has been sucking bad this year. so i thought ok i'll give it a try.. got there about 9:30 this morrning punch some holes in a area i have done well in, in the past.. got the finder in and seen ton's of fish comeing through.. got the bait on and droped down.. did not take long to get a hit.. first fish a 12 inch'er.. to bad it was a carp.. caught about 14 carp up to 24 inch's in the next hour or so. and still ton's of fish comeing through on the finder.. i was just getting ready to pack it in when i got a hit that felt diffrent putting up a good fight to.. got it in to find it was a channel cat,, cool that keep me there for another 2 hours.. but all i cought after that was more carp! no perch that i could find.. but hey a channel cat on the ice is a new one for me..

you of all know it kill's me to see what that lake has become!! with the lake level's staying up for the last 5 years all i can think is what a wast.. maybe some day the DWR will pull they'er heads out of they'er duffel bag's and get on putting some perch back in there. it cost's so little and it can pay back big time even if it only last a little while..

I fished it from my boat this last year three times, wished it was as good as years ago...Sure miss the perch..
