I was lucky enough to spend the day with my boy and his friends. I don't get to spend much time with this boy anymore. He is a work-a-holic. He has discovered money and big trucks. It was an excellant day. Got to teach his friends a few fishermens knots. The teenagers got to catch a few teenagers to throw back. I had them on pink cutter bugs and a pinch of worm. They missed alot of hits too, but They are just teenagers. I fished with the pale perch minnow jig and caught a couple of keepers and a few teenagers to throw back. Tubedudes jigs work on anything and everything. We had good sucess in 30 feet of water. The edges are still good, the ice is still good, and the slush monster is still good. Nothing the powder sleds can't handle. No broken sleds, no broken bones, all in all a good day. here's some pics to enjoy.

Good report, PIKEMAN. Always nice to hear about somebody taking kids fishing & having success. All you've got to do now is swish your magic rod and turn those slimers into perch this Saturday at Starv.

I was at the Berry today also. [
] No sleds though. No teenagers, just three old coots fishing. We walked west of the marina, fished in 30-40' of water. Fishing conditions were good, catching ok. 6 poles, 6 fish. Very slow after 10:00am, went home at 11:30am.
We did see a pick-up truck on fire at the top of Parleys on the way home.

Nice fish; that sure is a nice special little pink bag you got there. What is up with that?

[cool][#0000ff]Good to see you got Da Bomb out on the ice for a day. They grow up and move out too fast. But, better to have one be caught up in work and material things than some of the other choices that are out there for the young folks.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Those are a couple of purty fishies...for slimers. I think I reckernize that thing hangin' out of the mouth on that bowski. At least the fish was bigger than the bitty bows at Starvation last week.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Sorry I won't be able to join you guys Saturday. But I did send you 3 six-packs of jigs for the prizes or drawings. Hope they go to worthy BFTers. I only mention it here so that everybody will know you have them and you can't hoard them for yourself. You got enough stuff from my tackle boxes.[/#0000ff]

Yeah but Dabomb don't have the bomb in him any more he was to busy riding sleds. LOL You are right they do go so fast and this is my second round. I have really been blessed with some awesome kids. Hopefully he never looks twice at the "Other" s@#&.
Konnie was impressed with the purty fishies as well and yes it was your magic hanging out the mouth. Some nice fish.
Jigs? What jigs? I don't know what you are talking about. I will have to give them some of mine.LOL Worthy? I don't know what you are talking about there either. There is not a fisherman on this board worthy of them jigs. We'll have to see. Oh, yeah you just stay on the porch. I"ll do the fishing.

I can vouch for the effectiveness of some of the "TD pale perch specials". I'll be trying them out again at Starvation Saturday morning - sorry Pat that you won't be there to witness it.
Perhaps I can get lucky again and add to my meager collection (lost a few to the Saleratus weed monster last spring).
