I've caught at least one crappie on every outing to Pineview this year. I've never caught one through the ice until this year. So either I'm lucky this year or the Craps are doing well in there. It has slowed down significantly though.

perch meat in 40 to 50 feet of water has done the trick for the most part.

We were out at Pelican lake for the gills

To get crappie through the ice, Pineview is a great place. I caught a bunch last year using ratsos tipped with maggots under a kastmaster. One that particular day, I found that if I fished right on the bottom, I'd get Perch. But if I'd reel up a couple more feet, I'd get Crappie. Fishing a single small swedish pimple spoon is also supposed to be killer. A couple of the guys on here have had 50+ crappie days at pineview using that method. Don't know about the walleye, but they get em sometimes at Deer Creek and Utah Lake.
