I had a great day at ririe today 35 fish and home by 2:30.
The Fishing was hot and heavy for me at least. Had 11 kokanee and 2 trout by 9:30. I then moved to see if I could find some perch. Found 10 perch,7 trout, 1 kokanee and 4 suckers. Then called it a day. Does anybody know when the ice usually is gone at ririe? Just curious how much more time we have left.

That question is purely a weather thing. The ice will melt away from the ramp and dock and still be fairly solid if you can get out on it. DO NOT USE A BOARD BELONGING TO SOMEONE ELSE TO GET OUT ONTO THE ICE! When they leave you could be stranded!

lol good point don. sounds like you have experienced that?

Sounds like I need to get out and try to catch one more limit of Kokanee. Good job. How big are the perch you are catching?
Watch for the waterfall straight across from the boat ramp when that starts coming down the water raises rappidly and lifts the ice off its cap. Then as has already been said it becomes difficult to get on the lake even if the ice is still ok.
Also everyone should remember sunblock at this time of year. I got one heck of sunburn last year on late ice.

I've had people use my 2x12 to get out on the ice and then I had to worry about how they were getting off when I left???

The perch have been 9" nice and fat. I have not got into a lot at one time but the ones I have caught have seemed to be aggressive.

Today I was fishing in 17' of water and I caught them about 6" to 1' off the bottom. But I have also fished in about 25' to 30' of water and have done ok.
