If the weather keeps up like this Twin will be open soon. Got there about seven thirty and the fishing was hot for about an hour. They were biting on just about everything I had on, pink, green, mealworms, nightcrawlers. I kept these two big ones and had to keep one smaller one that I didn't feel good about letting go. I had one on that I couldn't stop, he must have took half of the line on that pole! The small one in the picture was 18". It was fun.

Nice Fish. It is funny when I think about Twin Lakes I only think about the Bass and bluegill since that is what I go down to catch in the spring. In fact I have never caught a trout there.

What part of the lake was you fishing ? Deep Or Shallow ? Thanks Curt G.

I was on the south lake, fishing south of the Island, had my holes deep (25') to shallow (6') and when the fish came in, all poles were being hit, then nothing.

It's funny, when my dad used to take me fishing at Twin we never targeted anything but trout, I knew that Bluegill were in the lake, but since we didn't know how to take care of them, we never really fished for them.
I am sure that some of the bites that I missed today, were either Perch or Bluegill, because when I cleaned the fish that I caught, there were little Perch in them. I think they were hitting the silver Kastmasters that I have above my bait.
These were the first fish I have caught at Twin in five trips. I guess I was in the right place at the right time.
