I hit DF this morning and managed to catch two fish that if I put them together would still equal a small fish (I caught both on a 16 Pheasant tail). Is this normal since they poisoned it? Oh, and they were both little brownies.

It's recovered since they poisoned it. I don't know but I don't have the best luck from December to April on Diamond Fork. I do a lot better over on Thistle Creek during this time of year.

there are some respectable cutthroat and browns in diamond. the water is so low this time of year, and it is hard to put the sneak on the fish. head out there in june, and you wont be dissapointed. it is named diamond fork for a particular reason though... watch out for snakes

I'm not sure if it's the low water or what this time of year. It fishes very well with low water in Summer. There are lots of bald eagles that roost in the cottonwoods from about Nov to March. That has to make fish behave differently. I wonder if some of the fish retreat down to Soldier Creek for the winter either because of the eagles or warmer water.

I've never hit DF anytime but winter. I used to do pretty well in November, but I think that had a lot to do with the browns spawning. Thanks for the info. I still had fun just getting out for the first time in quite a while.
