I'm headed to Diamond Fork early in the morning. Anybody got a recent report?

I had a pretty shi%&y day up there last december. bitter cold. not many fish in the usual spots... got discouraged after catching a couple sardine sized trout, so I fished the spanish fork river where diamond runs in. I'm glad I did. there are some nice browns that were whackin streamers, and some real pretty cutts in there too. the water is kinda murky, or stained looking, but they still would chase down big streamers... check it out next time

I thought about doing that. I had my cousin with me and he's one of the most impatient people on the planet. After being skunked at Diamond Fork he wanted nothing to do with the area. So went to the creek in Thistle and didn't have any luck their either. How big are the average browns and cutts at Spanish Fork?

There are monster browns, problem is the water clarity. Streamers if fly fishing but better yet switch over and throw some metal. I guess if all else fails and you really want to catch some in there you could resort to worms. Most of the time I find it pretty hard to catch anything in there. Certainly isn't ever going to be combat fishing there.

I've had good days in the early fall catching large browns on hoppers and big attractor dries in that stretch.
