The ice is still deep on Rockport but the edges are real sluchy. I went fishing there yesterday but didn't do any good. I think the moon had something to do with it. Watch out for the edges with 4 wheelers you will get a little wet.[mad]

I was out at Rockport yesterday also. A buddy and I pulled into the marina around 8am. We fished in 39' of water marked fish around 32' to 18' caught seven between the two of us, took home a couple of good ones. The path the snowmobiles use to get one the ice is still solid but that can change really soon. I think the moon cycle has alot to do with the success of catching fish but what do I know I go fishing when every I get a chance full moon or not. Keep wetting hooks and you will catch them.

Went up on 2/27 Sat. Parked at the boat ramp and walked out onto solid ice. fished straight out from the boat ramp about 100 yards away in 40 ft of water, Fishing was slow but we got 3 bows caught em about 15-20 ft under the ice, tried the bottom for a while but didnt have any luck.
