Anyone hit Strike today or know how the perch fishing is below the dam? Heading down in the morning but leaving the boat at home. How about the Cove or Cottonwoods?
Thanks!

I was out at CJ on the Saturday before last. It was sunny, but very windy and cold. I fished from Cottonwood, the cove, and for a short time from the bridge below the dam. Didn't get any fish, but I talked to someone who was at the cove area and he said there were some guys there earlier who had caught several nice trout off the bottom.

Haven't had a chance to get down there lately, been wanting to with the weather being pretty decent. Will be heading up there next week hoping for some trout below the dam and will probably throw in a sturgeon pole as well. Let us know how you do and if you see any body catching sturgeon.
Thanks

I was at Cove Arm on Sunday, I got skunked but I saw a guy catch a few perch and crappie

Well it was cold and windy, real windy. Fished from 11 to 1 below the dam and managed 1 small trout. Moved to the Cove and managed 2 more trout that went 13 and 14 inches. Finished the day with another trout from Cottonwood. It was a tough day of fishing and I was glad just not to get skunked. Tried all the usual baits but worms did the best. Talked with a lot of people that had been skunked the last 2 days. Some guys where sturgeon fishing but just threw out when we were leaving the dam.

Hopefully once he weather pattern stabilizes and the barometer rises fishing will pick up again, I sure would like some crappie for dinner!

I was out there 2-27 & 2-28, water temp had dropped 4 degree's from last weekend. [crazy]

Any reports?? I would like to head over and try for some crappie. I have a trolling motor now all rigged up on the pontoon and would make the drive if you guys in the know think the conditions are good.

Personally I would hold off for a while. It's only going to get better along with the weather.
