This is a really cool product and it works!!!! I was fishing Deep Creek in Dec. and a guy from Richmond had all his poles set up on these. You really don't need a fish finder, these detect even the slightest bite. He caught 15 fish to my three and I am sure it was because I wasn't feeling the bites.
The guys name who makes them is Jim Lefton his phone [#ff0000]edited,[/#ff0000] he sells them out of his home for $10, the craftsmanship is well worth it. He is always out in his shop working so call him after six. Hope you guys are as impressed with these as I am.

Looks like a cool product. Phone numbers should be exchanged in PMs so they are not out on an open forum.
Thanks

These look great, ive made and used similar ones for about 6 years now, just taking a flat piece of 1x6 and gluing 2 - 1x2s upright with the notch on the top and also screwing the up rights to the base and you have it. Leave the base about 8" long with the up rights at the back of the base as shown in this guys pics. As for what to use on the pole, I use a hose clamp that way I can fit it to any size pole handle and then after i get it on, i break out 2 thread bands on each side of the pole to slip a copper welding rod through it to fit the width of the pole holder. Also with the hose clamp, you can tighten up the clamp as the handle gets looser or for some reason wont fit tight. But once again, this setups are great and easy to pack and do get the very very light bites. I do like that this guys will lay down flat for transport. Guess im going to have to modify mine to do the same but if you dont want to mess with building your own, the $10 would be well worth it too. Ill have to get a couple pics of mine and post up. They are very rough looking but work well.

Haha, WOW! I fished with Jim at deep creek 4 years ago and I went home a made 5 "flipboards" for me and 5 more for my buddies! I'm glad to see him selling them now, he is a great guy and they are a great idea! He has really perfected them since i first saw them, they look really nice compared to what i've got! When deadstick fishing with bait they really are hard to beat, they are super compact and set up super fast. Keep your reels out of the ice and you can see your bites from a longs ways away!
Ask him about his carbite boot screws too, they are really small and work great for the ice or wading rivers.
This is a pic of the ones i made a few years ago, he has really improved the design!

Hey, No Problem. I really do like the product it is just a rule that BFT enforces for advertising. Without advertising dollars we don't have a forum to play on.
If I let everything go I would get fired and lose all my awesome benefits as moderator. On the other hand maybe I should just let everything go.[crazy]ha ha...
