Was up there yesterday, fishing was fanastic. Ice is still about 9 inches thick. The slush monster is brutal though!

I went a few days ago, and the slush monster wasnt there. Must have gone on a good day!
For a late report, UTcatman and I were there on tuesday( i think). Fishing was absolutely awesome! Between the two of us we iced roughly 100fish. Most of them were gills/perch, but in the last two hours we focussed on trout. We found a spot where the ice was only about 6" thick, i think it must have been a spring or something because everywhere else we drilled holes the ice was 10" or more. Anyways, once we moved to the last few holes of the day we iced 19 bows in the last hour we were there.

Was this out towards the east side? Seems like that has been the hotter area. Anything in particular they were taking?

There is a pretty well established trail out to the middle of the Inlet area, and everyone seemed to be on one side of it. We caught the trout on the left side of the "trail" out to the middle over what seemed to be some type of spring ( the ice was about 1/2 as thick as everywhere else we drilled holes). All of my trout were caught on small green or glow ice flys, tipped with a micro peice of crawler, about 1-2 feet under the ice.
