I was a doubter, but got there when Bob was breaking the ice. Shot the breeze with him for a hour as I hadn't seen him for a while. When the ice was shattered ...off he went to make sure it was fishing time. I went home and plugged in my battery charger,
Buhler was fast behind Bob and it appeared he was fishing, Several bank fishermen and 1 very tough guy out in front of the orchards, the same angler that was there yesterday. Unless it is a raging storm, I will launch tomorrow. IF the wind blows hard from the North tonight it might choke that area up again, but regardless all of the ice will be gone by Tuesday and it will be walleye time.
Water temp is 39 degrees, its maximum density,. These warm days and nights will warm up the water fast AND THEN THE WALLEYE RUN WILL REALLY CRANK ON!
Thanks Bob for getting it done.
It took some pictures of Bob wiping out the ice, but they are on my phone and I don't know how to get them off to post here.
