Fishing Forum

I went fishing yesterday at Utah Lake from around 3-6 PM. I was fishing the Provo bay area just off of the dyke road that circles the Provo airport. I expected the action to be slow...and I was right. I didn't get one bite the entire time I was there. I thought that I would at least be able to hook into a carp or two. Oh well, the warm fishing season is just barely starting, so I've got plenty more chances to hit the lake!

What tactics were you using - tossin' crawlers?

I was using night crawlers for most of the time. I also tried salmon eggs and dough bait just to mix things up. I was fishing the bottom mostly, but I also tried a bobber for a few casts. But, with the wind blowing, I couldn't keep the bobber in place, so I went back to fishing the bottom. I also tried a couple of spinners, and jigs to try and hit a white bass, but nothing was biting.
