Ya there is.... I fished it for a couple hours yesterday evening in Rainbow Bay. Out towards the middle of the bay there was 12- 14" of ice, but we did have to cross about a 8-10" gap(crack) in the ice on the edge.
Make sure you jump out onto the deck a little ways, my buddy stood on the edge thinking about it.... until it started to sink.
But, we were fine after the first 4- 5'.

RAK and myself fished it Saturday up at the northern end by midway. There was 2' of open water along the edge with a plank across it. Once you crossed it the ice was a good 8"-10" thick.

I suggest you bring your own plank. I went out and there was a plank that i used but when the guys left that brought it, they took it leaving all on the ice stranded. Lesson learned

Anyone been there recently. How's the ice? Hows the fishing?

We went up this morning. It was 14 degrees when we arrived at the island. Everything frozen solid. We walked across to the RR side. The holes were freezing over this morning so the ice was cracking. The fishing was a little slow but with sun shine and no wind we enjoyed the morning. Saw a coyote and eight turkeys on the ride down Provo canyon. Only kept a couple rainbows for dinner.
