Took a buddy out on the lake for a day of fishing, despite the nasty weather. Hit the water around 11 am, trolling boulder beach area. Things weren't looking good until around 4 pm. We ended up putting 4 into the boat. My buddy got 2 small ones on the storm swim trout, and I got a 3 LB on a 12" original rainbow pattern and a 22 LB on a black and silver 12" original. Turned out to be a decent day afterall.

Very nice fish. You make me want to get on the water more often. I would love to catch a big one like that.

Real nice fish! Your having a pretty good year so far.
I was out there yesterday saw you guys from shore. First time I was down there on a Tuesday trout plant. Hardly anybody around. Caught 3 dinks was kind of slow yesterday for me. Saw some guys in the late morning catching some though.

Seems like most of the bigger fish are coming on black and silver lures. Looks like the Gizzard Shad is at least partially replacing the rainbows as forage.

Black and silver Rapala Countdown CD-11 has caught the most fish for me at the lake. I've caught striper, lmb, catfish, and even several trout at the trout plants. The Rapala DT-6s also catch them when the water is warmer. I think wood lures also make a big difference for me at least. I just have had better luck with wood. Rattle traps and pointers work for me in warmer water , but rapalas work all year long.

Thanks alot everybody!!! I appreciate it. I have to say, I was told when I first started that you got to put in your time. Boy do I ever, I fish more than I probably should, lol. It's always "one more pass" for me. Good luck to those fishing in this weekends Striper Tourney. Wish I was gonna be in town so I could enter.
