fished lincoln beach 3-10. fishing was slow, water temp was 42 most of the day. no wind, no rain, no snow, until we left at 3:30 then it got ugly. we had a few hits, ken caught 1 whitebass about 12in. I caught 1 big carp hook in the tail. couldn't get to the spanish fork river it's all iced in still. lots of ice around bird island still. we had the whole lake to our selves. later chuck

Good. I just thought that the report Chuck gave was eerily similar to the one last year when you guys had gone out and had the lake to yourselves and the fish('eyes) were in transition. Glad that nobody got hurt.[Wink]

PS: I have about 2 weeks and I will be out there with Pezvela, hope to see you guys too. And 2 more weeks after that you know where I will be. See ya out there. [fishon]

I'm planning on heading down to Lincoln beach tomorrow, weather permitting. Fri, Sat and Sunday as well.

Walleye reports from lake powell at Good Hope bay relay incredible info: 18 to 20 walleye days of big females (relatively speaking, certainly not 12 pounders plus fish, but good fish) PLUS smallmouth, Largemeouth, Crappie and of course 4 to 6 lb Stripers!

I plan on fishing Utah Lake for a few days until it get 60 degrees at Hite for a couple of days running and then head to Hite for a camp on the beach and a couple of days walleye fishing before they spread throughout the lake. God life is good when the ice disappears!
I hope I am back in time. Your makin me tremble with excitement talkin about 20 fish('eye) days. I might get a lot of crap if I fish tomorrow, but if it is really early I might squeeze it in....... I have not even pulled out much of my gear from hibernation... is your boat full already?

Chuck, buddy, whatup? Was ya holding your mouth wrong?Dipping your jig in vaseline instead of smelly jelly?

I thought you might have a real tough time with all these weather changes. We just need three days of good high pressure. You know where to fish em and what to use. After that it comes down to mamma nature. And she aint been playin nice. Damn it got cold today.
I'm shooting for a trip on Friday and the weekend. Unless work gets in the way of perfectly good fun again.

Take care. See ya on the water.

yea, I know your going to be down at yuba, arrrrrggggg
I want to go there also way bad but these utah lake spring walleye have a pretty good hold on me. I love fishing with jigs, there's somting about that hit that just turns my crank.
them yuba pike look pretty good though. hmmmm.

thanks for the info crossineyes! I think it will be first of next week before I can make it down that way. Sounds like it should be good by then if the weather helps out.

I saw no floating ice on the lake today but it is stacked up on the island. No fish today either but after a cold morning the afternoon turned out being pretty nice and calm. We fished all over that end of the lake with nothing. Looking forward to the next couple weeks to get some warmer water temps. Today the warmest I saw on the water was 40.
