fished from mud creek down to waterfront last week, from inches of water to 12' deep. most fish caught in 2-4 ft of water in grass on traps...color doesnt seem to be that big of a deal. the deeper fish come off of jigs, not as many bites and honestly all the fish in the pictures came from traps. everyday during the week, we had a limit anywhere from 20-25lbs with a big fish all three days...except for friday which our best five was around 14-15lbs... friday, i borrowed triton carl from bprice because all my buddies bailed due to storms.... we covered a lot of water and new water trying to find some fish for a tx the next day.... without much luck.. i guess we caught 20 or more fish with a handful of keepers and only one good fish which was a 5lber off of a trap... we both had a good fish pull of that we didnt get to see, and i stuck a 15lb drum on a jig which at first i thought was another donkey....lol....

fished mvc saturday and i had found some good fish on a creek channel bend on thursday and they were still there except they had shrunk.... we caught 5 limits of fish in there but could only manage to muster up a little less than 17lbs which was good enough to get our money back.... we left the fish and went chunking and winding a trap and had our chances, but it was just one of those days.... we let off 4 fish that would have helped.. all of them barely hooked and shook off about 10ft from boat....
dont know if they werent eating well or if it was just one of those days for us....

anyway, back to work in the morning....

tritoncarl,

enjoyed sharing the boat with you, wish we could have got on some better fish throughout the day.... i guess thats fishing.. we will have to do it again one day.
