Green Bay, WI. getting a few walleyes, but hard to locate, catfish have even shut down except for a few one pounders. Alewife abundance may be the walleye problem, just to much forage, although some smallies are starting to hit in the shoals and rocky shorelines.

Hey CatMan,

Leave the cheese behind and come to Viking country. The latest report I read from Fishing Minnesota e-mails said that Walleye, Bass, and Catfish are biting very well. Unfortunately, I didn't read far enough into it to find out where. The link took me to the forum and I didn't have time to fish out the locations.

Hello, Don't get me wrong, I wasn't complainin". I just don't get to do allot of long lining for walleyes. We have had over 200 kids on the water so far this year, so we need to produce. And Catfish and Sheaphead are always a good bet, so we do allot of that for the kids. Seems like I'm on the water day and night but "I" never really get to fish much, oh woo is me, lol.

i'm thinking after i put my eight hours in tomorow , it'll be time to hit the water . i can see that my old pal in detroit will need some company on the weekends . i think the fish will forgive me for not feeding them [Smile].

[Smile] This came from a guide on the Red River Of the North that seperates Minnesota and North Dakota..........

Was suppose to guide today but there was a no show therefore the other guide (Rob) and I were FORCED to put a couple of hours on the Red ourselfs to just fish for fun. Well after about 2 1/2 hrs the tally was me 12 and Rob 11 but he caught the biggest (29.5 lbs) my biggest was 27.8 lbs. There were several in the 20 to mid 20 range with I think only 3 from 12 to 15 lb range with the rest all high teens low 20s. It sure is fun just to fish for fun. Couldn't believe it, the weather was fantastic, warm, clear sky and little or no wind to swing the boat and very very few boats. It's hard to believe there weren't more boats out with the action these kitties are putting on right now. We fished in 5 different locations and caught fish in every one but we did stay in the main channel and used suckers and a single goldeye.
