fished willard for a few hours today. put the boat and and headed to the south marina and man it was a rough ride. fyi the ice has not cleared the entire lake yet, there was a neat little flow at the south marina outlet but if your slow you can dodge all the larger chunks... anyway fished about 50 yards out side of the inlet and kept getting buzzed by the Sherrif's search and rescue chopper and dident get anything.... an even rougher ride back, had to put the jacket on and attach the kill switch, sometimes water would clear the glass on the passenger and drivers side... made it back to the north marina and the wind died down and saw a few more people launch... trolled around a little dident get anything... spent the last 2 hours of the day in the north marina where i finally got one TINY soft bite but dident get anything... was neat seeing all the coppers out and the helicopter landing in the parking lot... water temp hit 44.7 in the north marina, but it was 39.2 when i got there.
