[cool]Went fishing south of 33 hole after work. Saw that the water was off color probably from the wind but decided to fish anyways(what go home and do chores?) since I was there. I tubed against the wind into a few coves with alot of flooded brush for nada. This stuff will be good in a few weeks to a month. Finally connected to a 10" LMB on a white grub fished close to the brush. Continued to fish the shorelines for nada so I jigged the mouth of a bay with the grub on a heavy jighead. Five minutes later a 2lb. striper latches on. Tacos!. No more bites after that so I caught the wind and kicked 3/4 mile back to shore and home. Nice day out there as wind slowed down. NDOW was out in the boat and checked me then cited a guy on shore for too many poles. Obey the rules and all is cool.

Very nice. I was out on Saturday and picked up 3 stripers from shore. They came in after 2 hours on the chum. They are acting strange, swam right up into 4 foot of water. At first I thought it was carp eating the chum of the sandy bottom. All fish were on anchovies soaked for about an hour on the bottom in 20 foot depth. Last Saturday we did the same pattern and caught 18 fish but they took the bait on the drop.

i have noticed the same thing this year, they are real shallow. i have a two pole licence, cast one deep one close and my girlfriends medium. they closer we fished to shore, the more action we got. casting as far as i can produces very little.

I went out of Callville yesterday (3-22) and did some bass fishing. I brought out my neighbor for his first real fishing trip ever.
We found bass. No smallies, just largemouth. They were on the chew early, but the bite died as the sun got high.
It was clear, with glass water, no clouds, no wind, and the high was 79 I think. Tough day for bass fishing, but it was a great day to be on the water.
We ended up landing 7 fish between the two of us before 9:30am, and spent the rest of the day chuckin' plastics and plugs for nada. Off the water at 2
omething.
Didn't bring the camera, but out biggest went just under 3lbs. All fish were legal keepers. '
It was awesome out there.
All fish were caught on my magic bass bait:
