Hi,

I just got a kayak and a hand held fishfinder this past weekend and looking for some advice. I never kayak before nor fish on one but have done a lot of fishing. I want to start kayak fishing so we should get together and head out to the lake or river. I'm off on the weekends so if you want you can give me a call 702 234 8778 Hung Nguyen

That is interesting that you mention kayak fishing. I've seen more than a few kayak anglers out on the lake. Don't know if they subscribe to this forum, but rest assured, you're not alone.

(I've even been considering getting one...mostly for quiet cruising to less traveled areas, as most of my fishing is for carp)

I've been fishing Lake Mead from a kayak for years and I must say, I love kayak fishing.

I don't fish much on the weekends, but let me know if you go out during the week.

I fish for bass a lot. The kayak is a great stealth tool for bass fishing.

thanks, i saw some of your posts, and you sound like you really know the Lake from a kayak fisher's standpoint. I can go out during the week also. Let me know what works and I would like to head out with you sometime. I did mount a small trolling motor to my yak too for the lake.

I didnt make it out on the lake this weekend due to the winds that blew up.
I will be going shortly.

I have a Cobra Navigator and I also have an Ocean Prowler 13 both equiped with 30 lb thrust min kotas.

Im happy to share an extra Yak if anyone wants to go sometime.

Im interested in some serious large mouth and large stripers that will hopefully be large enough to tow the kayak around LOL
thanks
Jeff
