so i hit up the weber on saturday. got there at 830 am and noone was there. i started out with a ph tail and a sow bug. first spot it was on. i was there for about an hr and killed it with landing 10 fish and 2 mistery fish ( i call them that because i fought with them but wasnt able to get them high enough to see them) and 1 long distant release. i got a about 6 whities, 1 17 inch cuttthroat, 4 bows and a 7 or 8 pound carp. thats was alot of fun and took me about 10 mins to finally tire it out and land it. that is my first carp ever on a fly and i took my sow bug. i have seen them around the campsite in coalville (which was about a half mile from where i was) but never seen them anywhere else there. i moved to a new spot and wham it was on again. 2 more bows and 6 more whities. i love catching them whities. they can be alot of fun and they beat catching nothing aat all. by this time it was about 1030 and it was starting to get crowded. i went to another spot and managed 1 more bow and 3 more whities. then that spot got so busy there was no where else to fish. i looked up and all taken, i looked down and again all taken, then i looked where i was and, yup it was just taken to. so i went to a new area and saw only 3 cars for that whole stretch and decided to try it out. by this time it was 1145 when i got to my new area and the flows where almost at a stand still. i didnt even managed to get a bite. i talked to some other men there and they said they only managed 1 little brown so i went back to where i started hoping that it would have died down a little and it did but not much i managed to only catch 2 more bows in 2 hrs then i called it a day. one of the bows that i got earlier that day spit out a crap load of eggs when i just took it out of my net. all and all it was my best trip ever on the web. i never had a bad trip there but nothing like that. well i hope all for great trips this yr and ill be back there in 2 weeks. enjoy the pics. oh i have ? when do bows spawn? i thought it wasnt till april. but could it be the warm weather or longer days that trigger it.
