Went Saturday near the resort end of East Canyon. Got on the ice at 8:00am, 9 degrees. Two other guys on the whole lake! The edges were soft, but easily crossed. Ice cap still in good shape and about 10" thick. We drilled two holes in about 35'-40' of water. Started getting bites right away at 10' down. Used white curly tail jigs tipped with shrimp and meal worms. My son caught a nice 17" Tiger Trout. I hooked and missed quite a few (rusty I guess), but finally landed a nice Bow. It really slowed down as the sun went higher. Fished until 1:00pm with only a few light bites. Had to get a couple of planks to get off the ice as the open water grew to about 4'. I think that's our last hard deck trip this year. Bring on the Spring! Sorry, no pics, forgot the camera.[crazy]
