The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is urging commercial fishing license holders to save time by renewing licenses for 2010 by mail. Those choosing to renew in person will have to visit LDWF's Baton Rouge office since renewals will no longer be offered through the department's Bourg office.
License holders can mail in multiple commercial license renewals and pay for them with one money order or cashier's check.
For those who choose to renew in person at LDWF's Baton Rouge office, 2000 Quail Drive, license clerks are available from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., weekdays. Walk-in customers can make payments with money orders, cashier's checks or cash.
