just wondering if i can get a snowmobile on starvation or if i should just hit up strawberry i would like to catch a walleye so pikeman help me out!!! any info will be great even if it isnt good i can just go to strawberry. [fishin]

The edges on Starv are getting very soft. I wanted to fish it two weeks ago but decided against it when we tested the ice out as far as we could reach with a hand auger and the auger pushed through the slush. We probably could have made it out on the ice with a long plank but the ice out further looked sketchy. Slushy with pools of standing water. The ice across the entire lake looks very rotten now. I would recommend Strawberry.

I have same report. We tried to fish open water edges on Saturday, but with a recent cold spell, it was all frozen over with a thin sheet of ice. So you can't ice or shore fish Starvation for now. Temps in the basin are reaching 50 now and the wind has begun so open water is not far away.
On another note, the Strawberry River out of Starvation is running at extremely low levels.
