[cool][#0000ff]That is the area known as the Knolls. Yes, there is good walleye fishing in several spots along that area. But, you can also get skunked there as well as any other spot on the lake.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]The best area during prespawn and spawning is the rocky points to the west of road's end. It is beyond the fence line (no trespassing) so only non-english speaking people go down there to wade or cast from shore. But, if you have a tube, toon or small boat you can launch nearby and fish from off the shoreline. Lots of rocks and boulders. [/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]However, there is never the big concentration of fish there that there are at Bird Island or at Lincoln Beach. But, with less competition and fishing pressure you can sometimes score some fish.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]After the spawn the walleyes are all up and down the shoreline...especially when the white bass are spawning in May.[/#0000ff]

I herd that Lincoln beach gets pretty packed and it is a lot more of a drive for me. How is the bubble up and where is it. I know it is by linden boat harbor but i just do know exactly. Would the knolls be good at night?

The bubble up is nothing like it used to be when Geneva was open. Just south of the Lindon boat harbor are the settling ponds. If you walk on the outer dike from the south heading north you will eventually see flags out in the water. They mark the pipe. Also you have to come in from the south as they have closed the road to the Lindon Harbor from the north as they work on front runner for the UTA.

[cool][#0000ff]Yes, Lincoln Beach can get crowded. So will Lindon, American Fork and Provo Harbors when there are any rumors of fish being caught there.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]The Bubbleup is about a half mile directly south of Lindon Harbor (see attached map). In the olden days it was the site of the warm water outflow from the long extinct Geneva Steel. It attracted fish of all species and was "full contact" fishing at times. These days there is only a small trickle of cold water coming in through the pipe but it still attracts a few fish...as much for the gravel bottom as for the flow of water. You can't really fish it from shore or wading during the current high water conditions. But, if you have a tube, toon or small boat you can reach it easily from Lindon Harbor. I have also used the County Park beach to launch my tube.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]The Knolls can be good at night...but better in the summer than right now. You will catch as many during daylight hours as after dark.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Don't overlook American Fork Boat Harbor. And the rock dikes around the fairly new Pelican Bay Marina on the west side has been producing more walleyes each year too. Free access to non boaters, nice restrooms and park and easy walking out onto the rocks. Sometimes fish inside but usually more walleyes on the wave washed outer rocks.[/#0000ff]

I dont mean to hijack this thread but could someone tell me and the UL noobs about mile marker 19? Havent fished the lake hard in over 10 years. Just getting back into UL. Is the road smmoth enough for a mini van to driveon? and can a toon be launched from there?

it is a good road for being dirt road. You can go slow and just park at the top of the hill before it goes down to the lake. I take my car down there all of the time, but I would not do it in another persons car. Just park at the top and walk 20' to the waters edge and launch from there. Muddy days will make the road really bad, but in the summer it is usually fine.

[cool][#0000ff]The gravel road heading down to the lake at Mile Marker 19 is the best of all the dirt roads between Highway 68 and Utah Lake. Some of them are very steep and deeply rutted. Humvee trails.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]You can make it down to the lake in almost any vehicle. I have even seen "low riders" parked along the lake. Not sure how much of the undercarriage they left behind or if they ever made it out again.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]No need for 4X4 but good tires and decent clearance are strongly suggested.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Attached is a new map of the area I just finished. I have not yet finished the writeup detailing each of the numbered locations.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Easy to launch tubes and toons almost anywhere. There are quite a few guys that even trailer in small boats. Water levels are very high right now so launching is easier.[/#0000ff]
