Beautiful weather, time to get out and find some crappies. Started from CFP about 11:00. First dock I hit held some good fish. Caught 13 very nice fish from 11-13 3/4 and only 2 smalls.

Moved to another dock at mouth of spawning cove. Loaded with fish. Large school showing on structure scan just off dock. Tried a variety of baits today. 1/32 jigs with slab slayer, PA's, BG Shad, and yellow tube. All with tail light. Water temp was 52-56 so warming up some. First dock was 19' of water and a 4-5 count. Second dock 10-12' and got bigger fish on a 6-8 count. Used a tip from Drumking and whenever the action slowed I changed bait or direction of presentation. Color didn't seem to be a big deal. Even tried a couple from a float just for kicks. It seemed to work today. Scanned a couple of other good schools at mouths of bays, but could not get them started. Finding fish with the side/down scan is getting pretty easy, now if they would just bite on demand, lol.

Ended the day with 47 Crappie of which about 20 were smalls up to 10 1/2", Rest were very good fish up to 13 3/4". Also had a couple of decent spots and 1 small drum. All fish returned to the lake for another day.

Regards, Labman
