[font "Courier New"][#000080][size 3]So, I was looking at the community fishing booklet... Holmes Creek is not listed! (but Bountiful is listed twice)
It's also not listed in the little blue section of the regular fishing book, that has all the other community waters.
It is, however, listed in a section about restrictions on which waters you can/can't take boats on.
When they were in the process of changing laws last autumn, I heard that it was the one place they were going to keep the 4 fish limit.
Can we fish Holmes Creek anymore?

Wow, you got that book memorized? It sounds like you know the ponds inside out. Holmes creek was removed this year and I think they will still be putting trout in it. It has about everything in it, just not a ton of any one species. It is a good place to fish tho and is still not a boating place. From what I understand all Statewide limits will be followed for this res, and the community 2 fish rule does not apply here.
It would be great to hear back from ya after ya fish it
you could tell the rest of us how it was,

[font "Courier New"][#000080][size 3]It would be nice if that was clarified in either book.
I'm mostly curious, just for curiosity's sake. I probably won't fish it...didn't last year. That inclined trail is just a horrible hike up for my wimpy heart/lungs. If I do go, it won't be until at least next month, and when it's plenty dry so I don't slip on the mud while I'm already making a struggle up it!

cool, it is a nice place and I have had many days with different fishies cuaght with nothing more than a worm rig. That hill is a hard one, but the road heading down to the pond is a bit longer, but the incline is a lot less. Sometimes things are over looked, but it wold be good to see something stating the change to remove it from the book, even on the last page.

[font "Courier New"][#000080][size 3]There's a flatter road to it? I always go to it heading east (up from Gentile), because I always seem to miss the turn from 89. So I've been parking across from the golf course, by that big triangular tower thingy.

Here is a link : 41.070062,-111.917135 go to google maps and search this above thing. That is the road, its longer, but well worth it. There are trees, but you can barely make out where it meets the main road. There is a gate locked to cars, but people are ok.

[font "Courier New"][#000080][size 3]Yup, that's the trail I use. Plenty steep for me. Maybe I just better try to get in better shape! Or take it slower... a'course, I usually fish until it starts getting dark, then want to rush back to the car while I can still see where I'm goin'! (and beat the cougar's huntin' hours...I've heard there are sightings ever so often, in that area).

Yup, it is not the most friendly place for walking around at night. You may see if you can get a key to that gate, although it is a little rutty at times but is usually ok. There are much better and more easy to get to ponds for ya out there tho. I like bountiful, perfect for easy walkin' and plenty of fishies.

From what I've heard, it will now become a water Reservoir just like Adam's just down the road. They will no longer be stocking Holmes Creek.
