I was fishing west of the marina this morning. Mine was the only vehicle in the parking lot until about 10, then a truck came in and their three snowmobiles raced past Haws. No one else showed up in the morning. I left at noon. Windy and snowing but not really cold.
There was about 6" of compacted snow over the ice. It looked like the snowmobiles did just fine, I think a 4 wheeler might get stuck as my occasional footstep would break the top crust.
The last time I tried to access mud creek the gate was closed, making for a long hike to the lake. I can't see the gate from the main road and I couldn't tell if the road to mud creek was plowed or not.
There is plenty of ice, my power auger went all the way to the motor before breaking thru.
Fishing was fun, I caught 6 fish on 6 consecutive drops. Ended up with about a dozen on the ice, all in the slot. They seemed to like the jig moving today as my second pole didn't get any attention.
Hope that helps.

Dang it, I took the extension off of my auger this afternoon![frown] Well, I am off to put it back on.

There's definitely plenty of ice. I took this one today: The whole blue portion of the auger is in the ice. I broke through about 1cm deeper. I kicked the snow away for the picture.

How clear is the road that takes you to the marina? Dont feel like getting stuck due to my lack of a truck.

You can drive a car down the marina road. There are some drifts in places, but you can go around them. A 4-wheel drive was not needed today, a car would have made it easily!
