ok so in short I have a banana yelow Eagle Claw rod that I have to assume is a little bright. Before anyone goes into the "get a better rod" bit, this is what i have for now. What I want to know is if I can paint it a darker color or not. I would plan to tape all the guides and and parts like that. It would not have ot look "pro" I just dont know if paint would some how effect the epoxy or things like that. I like the rod for what it is I just wish it was less yellow [mad]

peace

I have one, leave it be, it works good just the way it is,

the yellow will dinge and dull a bit with age, my has, I have had it nearly 30 years..

I woldnt tape it, paint it or re rap it.... nothing wrong with a yellow rod.

rod color has absolutely no affect on your fishing. It could be pink or blue or green... Orange?

doesn't matter. The fish are looking at your bait. Not your rod.
