Just wondering if anyone has seen much action on the walleyes, caught one nice one on Saturday along with some nice slimers (rainbows).

I tossed jigs up there for a little bit last week with nothing, so I switched to fly gear and caught some bows. The interesting thing is that a rather large boat with a lot of gear on it was cruising around the large hole I was fishing, and another guy in a truck was driving slowly along the area with a radio receiver hanging out the window. The truck wasn't labeled as a DWR vehicle, but I would assume that's who it was.

That is strange! By DWR I assume you were fishing in Utah. Thanks for the info. Hope the temp come up this week as I have to go out of town for awhile.

I was actually in the Narrows, I just forgot they were called something different in Idaho. It doesn't look too good this week. Highs around 40 with rain and snow. Oh well, I guess I'll tie more flies and pour more plastics while I wait.

i would guesse its the group thats pushing for the damn. they have been doing surveys of the fish for the last couple years. i have seen them shocking and counting fish up there also. i was curious about it also as i didnt see anything with a f&g logo.

as for the eyes they are just getting started. i havnt got out yet but from the ppl i have talked to. only small males so far. but they always show up first. if we can get a bit of a thaw i think they will come in a hurry.

I was wondering if they'd been shocking. There were tons of bwos and midges coming off, but I wasn't catching anything or seeing any risers. I moved ahead and found about a ten pound sucker gasping in the shallows. A little further upstream I found another dying sucker of about 20". I finally found some trout after that, but they were just laying there in a few inches of water and they didn't spook. I literally dropped a nymph on ones head and it didn't even move. I finally found some active fish about 100 feet upstream of those fish and managed a half dozen before work.

This week looks pretty crappy weather wise, so I guess it will be a bit longer before the big female eyes show up. [frown]
