Full Version: Leech traping spot?

looking for a honey hole....... for leeches lol. im from back east and its all i used to use.

i know how to trap them just need a spot to get em. before the legal watchdogs jump all over this. i just got off the phone with the DWR. After being put on hold a couple times, they said it was an excellent question and they ARE legal.

looking for something close to salt lake as possible

if it is legal, you should not have to worry about the "legal Watch dogs juming all over this". And I dont think to many members on here are going to give illegal advice. But I really dont understand the post. If you called the dwr and they said its ok then there shouldent be a problem.

Check out this post. I know its on leagality and you already know that they are, but some have given info on spots to get some leecehs as well (the therapist is one who gave some good info).

I used to see tons of large leeches on The Provo River down through town. I pulled up the rocks to see what bugs were on there as I was fly fishing and got some ugly surprises. Every rock had several of them. I never did wet wade there after that.
