I braved the crappy weather today and went out to UL Lindon Marina. From 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM I got 5 mudcats and a carp. The Mudcats were about 8 inches long. Nothing to brag about.

I know th mud cats and carp are not the "coolest" thing in UL to most, but to me a fish is a fish. I would have loved to be out doing some fishing. Great job and post, it is also good to see some other "warmer" fishies starting to pester the hooks again. Great Post,

They may not be the coolest but they are fish thats for sure!! Sometimes I will actually target carp. They are fun to catch.

I found my self targeting carp the other day at bountiful pond. I just wanted to fish, something big, and carp was it. I caught a few, and they were way fun, I even let em swim another day.

oh well. the thought that the fish coming in could be a wally is pretty awesome. happend to me at starvation. thought for sure a 5 or 6 lb walleye on for sure...................... carpzilla lol

I usually will release them in all other waters but UL. At UL however I will either send them back to the water dead, making sure they dont just float, or I will leave them in the bank in a non public area. It annoys me to find tons of dead fish rotting in the public marinas. They make good bait, but still too much meat to use em all.
